Teaching in Slovakia?!

I'm not really sure where God is leading me with this, or if it is even God. Sometimes you get an idea in your head and you can't decide whether it's actually God, or your own voice. I'm sure everybody has experienced this... Anyways, a few of the things which have been on my mind lately is if there really is a call to go teach in Slovakia. I need prayer to discern between my truths, and God's truths. I've been leaning towards being an mk teacher for the past two or three months, and going to Slovakia for the past two weeks (Melanie can correct me if I am wrong with this amount of time). I know that I have plenty of time until I actually have to decide what to do after I graduate (probably three and a half years from now) but what I do need to figure out now...are what classes to take. Am I going to stop double majoring in Spanish and History and change my focuses to some sort of secondary education (which take FOREVER to complete btw)? Well...if God really wants me to become an mk teacher overseas, I'm sure He will continue to open paths for me, and give me clear messages.

Indeed... I've definitely been there. What I've learned along the way is that sometimes you do hear a clear calling from God (His voice), and other times you hear something that *might* seem like your own voice, but that doesn't mean it's bad. God gives us skills, gifts, and passions that we can put to work in the world around us. So if you're really interested in doing something you're passionate about, then unless God clearly says "No" why not shoot for that goal? ...Anyway, that's just the way I've learned to approach things over the years. :)

Woh that is a hard dissition!
Ill keep you in Prayer and you keep praying too.
I understand compleatly that its hard to figure out if its our own longing to do something or Gods...i cant say much on it since im going through something similar, though yours is alot more complacated all i can say, is keep praying and if its his will doors will keep opening up for you, and you'll feel more and more drawn to that work, just make sure that its his will and not ur own fleshy dessires.
^.^

Ah, no email from your mother yet. I'm sure you love Slovakia, and I would love to visit.

if you're interested in being an MK teacher, there are plenty of opportunities! I know of TERRIFIC mk school in Kazakhstan that is always desperately scrambling to get teachers, so you should keep that in mind too.
