Disengaging
Do you know the feeling of mentally unplugging from a place when you know you will move? Well, I haven't even applied to Taylor yet but I am still "moving out" mentally. I thought it was hard to do homework before...dang....now it is REALLY REALLY hard to do it. I am praying that God gives me the strength and will power to complete this crazy semester.

Yep - I totally know what you're talking about!! Funny this hasn't come up on mkP yet, but it's a huge TCK experience. I've always done that 'mental unplugging' whenever I was getting ready to leave someplace. Sometimes it meant having a lack of motivation to do school work, other times I found I was distancing myself from my friends... :( I've had to learn how to leave one place and enter another place gracefully - by making the proper good-byes, taking the time to visit the places that meant a lot to me, making sure my studies are still in good standing at school...
Anyway, I can really empathize with you on this one, HV! I hope you can find the energy inside of yourself to do your best... and to look forward the new experiences you'll be having at Taylor soon!!
That is...if I get accepted and it is God's will.
yeah I totaly know that feeling
I talked to the person in charge of admissions...they are going to keep in mind my depression. I am getting all of my teachers to write little letters stating that I am a good student and have perfect attendance. Keith, hope to see you there!
