While I was sitting in the Argentine computer lab from the 90s and writing my essay on physical interaction and greetings, I came across this interesting article. It shows a lot about how I grew up, especially the part where his kids lean forward for a kiss when they are in Britain and receive weird looks.
I encounter this every time I go from the States to Argentina and from Argentina to the States. I get used to greeting people in a certain way and it usually takes a few times to get used to greeting the "right" way again. Even going from eastern Argentina to western Argentina can throw me off. Two times in eastern, once in western...just in case you find yourself in Argentina in the near future.
