The Hill of Crosses

To say the least, the Hill of Crosses was an amazing experience. This is a frequently visited cite by Roman Catholics. Not only a demonstration of faith, it was also used as a sign of defiance of the rule of the Soviet Union by the Lithuanians, who were devout Catholics. The area was bulldozed several times, but the crosses would reappear the very next day.
